Wine.com sold for 2.9 million ($2.9 Million dollars)
VirtualVineyard.com payed this amount of money not only to acquire the domain name itself, but they also purchased the whole working website in 1999. This is the domain they wanted and needed VirtualVineyard's content was immediately swapped over to the Wine.com domain.

Autos.com sold for 2.2 million ($2.2 Million dollars)
Hit Domains did it. The URL was acquired by CarsDirect.com, the number one car trade site on the net. Autos.com is at the moment the doorway to company's variety of auto services.

Express.com sold for 1.8 million ($1.8 Million dollars)
Present residence to the online audio and video merchant DVD Express.


Wallstreet.com sold for 1 million ($1 Million dollars)
It was traded in April 1999 by Ehud Gavron, who has an ISP business in Arizona. Online casino Players Sportsbooks and Casino bought Wallstreet.com and came up with the funkiest idea ever - they run a stock market gambling service on the site. Players Sportsbooks and Casino are based on a tiny island in Venezuela - most probably for tax motives.
