Million dollar mistake #6

Making a quick buck. This is what we see in the movies, but not often in actual life examples. The vast majority of millionaire cases do not differentiate itself as a fast buck cases. The largest part of them is a result of consequent and hard effort. Of course there are cases when people got tremendously wealthy overnight. Cases such as: lottery winning, inheritance, sudden success, becoming famous. There cases become very flashy and loved by mass media. The only part that is never spoken about is the “after effect”, the effect of new millionaire’s inability of controlling the money.

Fast bucks are very much undervalued by their owners, making it very easy to spend and loose their fortune. Moreover, the statistical probability of you dreaming to become a millionaire and actually winning a lottery is lesser then the probability of getting caught by a lightening.

Hollywood made a lot of movies about fast bucks and people getting rich overnight. Unfortunately, movies remain movies and are meant to entertain, not to educate us. The desire to get rich fast is understandable, but hardly ever possible. The speed and the growth of your wealth depends either on the idea of your wealth source, the plan, or the success of your investment.
