Deal or no deal? - become a virtual millionaire
Here another game to waist your time. The popular tv show/game "Deal or no deal" is avialable for you @ How-t0-make-million-dollars.com; I promiced to give as much posibilities as probably there are out there. Hence, this is one of them. Practice virtualy, when the right time comes - you will be ready.
Some info about the game:
The game starts with 26 briefcases holding amounts ranging from 1 cent to $1 million. Contestants' first choice: Pick a case to remain next to them, unopened, throughout the game.
Statistics say:
A wanna be millionaire has a 3.8% chance of choosing the briefcase containing $1 million out of the 26 at the start of the game. As chances go, that's slim. Very slim.
The very same wanna be millionaire has a 11.5% chance of picking a case with $500,000 or more. Not much better.
If you get the chance to participate in the game, there is a 57.7% chance of getting a case with $5,000 or less.
$131,477 is the average of the 26 briefcases. Statisticians call this the "expected value" — what you could expect to win, assuming the banker always offers a deal equal to the average of the remaining cases. But he rarely does: Researchers from Erasmus University in the Netherlands who studied 47 contestants in the U.S. version last year found the average winnings were $116,763 — 11% lower.
More stats:
$750,000 Biggest winner so far: Michele Falco on Sept. 22.
5 Number of contestants who won less than $100.
2 Number who picked the top prize for their briefcase.
As you see, noone has picked up the 1.000.000 $ yet, but the game is all about becomming a millionaire and getting one million dollars. Who knows, maybe one day someone will get lucky. Meanwhile - practice makes is perfect. The game is below. Have fun!
